Illegal Mobile phones cost 2 billion dollars

Ministry of Transport and Communications's Minister Binali Yıldırım stated "In Turkey, the number of mobile phones exceeded 131 million. Because of approximately 11 million ones are stolen or illegal, they are taken to the blacklist. This costs to Turkey over $ 2 billion."

Minister Binali Yıldırım, said in a statment to ANKA, Turkey had become an important country in Europe in the field of information and communication.
Yıldırım pointed to Communications services in Turkey has been experiencing a big change in recent years. He also noted every 18 months one mobile
phohen is changed and every year average of 40 million new mobile phones are purchased in Turkey.
